GENERAL RULES
The Mechanicsburg’s New Year’s Eve Wrench Drop is a family oriented event so the following rules apply:
1. THE FOLLOWING ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
Alcoholic beverages
On-site tattooing (permanent)
Bumper stickers/Any stickers
Open flames (except for cooking or glass blowing)
Drugs/Drug - related items
Pets of any kind (excluding service animals)
Fireworks Sale or donation of live animals
Gambling
String spray
Obscene materials
On-site body piercing
Weapons of any kind/knives/nun chucks/throwing stars*
A weapon is defined as anything whose initial purpose is recognized as to maim, injure, incapacitate, kill or otherwise inflict bodily harm or physical damage.
• The grounds of the Wrench Drop are to be pet free. However, service animals are accepted.
2. All vendors must have a current certificate of insurance with the Mechanicsburg’s New Year’s Eve Wrench Drop named as the additional insured on a commercial general liability policy in order to participate. Your insurance agent must mail, fax or e-mail certificate directly to us at your request.
3. All participants are responsible for securing a PA Sales Tax License if appropriate.
4. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather.
5. All applicants will be notified by mail that their application has been received and accepted along with further information regarding space assignment.
6. No spaces are to be subleased and/or given away. Encroachment on spaces not assigned to you is not permitted.
7. For safety reasons no awnings, stands, vehicles, or portions thereof may extend more than 10 feet from the curb into the street area.
8. Sidewalks cannot be used at all by vendors. All sidewalks must remain clear.
9. Electricity will NOT be available through the Wrench Drop. Vendors must make arrangements for electrical access with nearby private property owners prior to the Wrench Drop. All wires must be securely taped down.
10. Use of generators is discouraged. If a generator is necessary it must be muffled, vented, and shielded from the public. The noise level must not exceed 70 DB.
11. Noise levels from speakers and operations should be moderate so as to not disturb other operations and may not exceed 70 DB.
12. All participants must arrive by 8:00 PM at the latest to assure access to your space and be open for business by 9:00 PM. Wrench Drop personal will be available to assist you in locating your space. All participants must be off the street by 1:00 AM.
13. You are responsible for cleaning up your space so please take your trash with you.
14. No grease, chemicals, or toxic materials may be thrown on the street or into storm drains.
15. The Mechanicsburg’s New Year’s Eve Wrench Drop assumes no liability for merchandise lost, stolen, or damaged.
16. Participants are not allowed to participate in raffles or games of chance that will compete with the Wrench Drop.
17. All food vendors are expected to follow standard PA Department of Agriculture food and handling safety guide lines.
18. No food or drink items may be given away. However, samples may be offered and are limited to a maximum 1.5 ounce size. Water offered as a courtesy comfort station item is limited to a 3 ounce cup.
19. All grills must be shielded from the public and adjoining vendors, and placed closest to the sidewalk.
20. The Wrench Drop is coordinated by the Mechanicsburg’s New Year’s Eve Wrench Drop, a 501© (3) not for profit corporation.
The Wrench Drop committee reserves the right to limit the number of participating vendors
or refuse an application of a vendor at their discretion.
